Block rewards
Standard BFT block production rewards, distributed in proportion to validators and their delegators. BCX inflation begins at 15% a year and declines to 2% long-run as network fees replace issuance.
Review the proposed BCX fee and reward model, including validator, delegator, gateway, and treasury roles, with example fee distributions and staking economics.
Conventional proof-of-stake validators earn from block rewards alone. BlockX validators add settlement, gateway and priority fees on top.

Every x402 payment settled on-chain pays a base fee of 0.0001 BCX plus a proportional settlement fee. As agent commerce reaches millions of transactions a day, this becomes the dominant validator revenue stream, tied to real commerce activity.
Validators that operate x402 gateway nodes bridge Web2 HTTP APIs to the BlockX chain and earn fees from the services they route. It is optional, and rewards validators who invest in infrastructure.
Time-sensitive agent payments and ComputeMarket bids pay for priority inclusion. As the agentic economy grows, fast settlement becomes commercially valuable beyond standard block rewards.
Default split of each fee type. Validator commission is adjustable, and governance can change burn rates through an on-chain proposal.
| Revenue type | Validator commission | Delegator share | Community pool |
|---|---|---|---|
| Block rewards | 5% (default, adjustable) | 93% | 2% |
| x402 settlement fees | 5% (default, adjustable) | 93% | 2% |
| Transaction base fees | 20% burned (deflationary) | 78% | 2% |

BCX is the native utility token of the network. Each function ties demand for the token to real network activity.
Every transaction pays fees in BCX, including x402 payments, contract calls and ComputeMarket bids. Fee burn adds deflationary pressure as usage grows.
Validators and delegators stake BCX to take part in BFT consensus. Slashing discourages malicious behavior and downtime.
Stakers vote on protocol parameters, treasury allocation, module activations, fee changes and ecosystem grants.
BCX is the native settlement asset for x402 commerce. Merchants receive BCX or approved stablecoins, and all settlement fees are paid in BCX.
GPU and compute providers stake BCX to list resources, which aligns incentives and allows on-chain slashing for SLA violations. ComputeMarket is on the whitepaper roadmap.
Agents hold BCX as operating treasury, either pre-loaded by users for approved spending or earned by providing services to other agents.
Join the network that secures agentic commerce and earn from the fees it generates.
